Joys of summer: fire trucks, the zoo, and popsicles

Dan here again. Here's our firstborn child, a little monkey having fun in the neighborhood park.

Orion was a very lucky boy. There was a fire engine parked outside the grocery store, and he got to go inside! Here he is in the front seat of the fire truck, pleased as punch.

Here he is photographed with one of the firemen (Orion wants to go back in the fire truck). Thank you Hamden firefighters!
We had a picnic at the top of East Rock park (where you can get a great view of New Haven and the sea). At the end, Orion got to eat a red popsicle, creating a great photo opportunity.


Here we are at the Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport, CT. Especially memorable were the tiger, prairie dogs, and carousel. In these pictures, Orion stares down a peacock and a turkey.
